Atletico announce Sosa deal

Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of midfielder Jose Sosa on a six-month loan deal from Metalist Kharkiv.

Jose Sosa: The midfielder has joined Atletico Madrid on a six-month loan deal

The 28-year-old joined the Ukraine outfit from Napoli in 2011 having previously spent three years in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

Sosa is an Argentina international with 19 caps to has name and he will now link up with fellow countryman Diego Simeone as he looks to boost his new side's title hopes.

Atletico are currently level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga and are enjoying an unbeaten run of 14 games in all competitions as they prepare to return from the winter break.

Having passed a medical at Vicente Calderon, Sosa will now go into Simeone's squad for the visit to Malaga.

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.
