Ivan Rakitic: Happy to stay at Sevilla

Rakitic, whose penalty secured an impressive draw away to high-flying Atleti on Sunday, said after the match that he will not be tempted away from Andalusia this month and hopes to stay for the long term.

"I like playing for Sevilla FC, in the present, future and always," he said.

"I'm very happy here at this club, and my family are also happy here. I am not available right now."

The 1-1 draw at the Vicente Calderon saw Rakitic strike after Carlos Bacca was fouled in the area, cancelling out David Villa's opener.

The Croatian midfielder said: "We played a good game, with a very specific plan we worked at all week.

"When Atletico were ahead on the scoreboard, it was even harder for us but we always believed in our game."

Sevilla are now unbeaten in eight matches and Rakitic said: "We need to keep this run going. It was a good night and we have to keep battling."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
