Dieumerci Mbokani: Attracting interest from clubs across Europe

The Congolese frontman has resurrected his career in Belgium, following a frustrating time in France with Monaco and a disappointing loan spell with Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

Mbokani, who first caught the eye during a productive stint at Standard Liege, has been a regular source of goals for Anderlecht over the last two years.

His efforts have drawn admiring glances from afar, with Premier League clubs among those said to be keeping a close eye on his progress.

Mbokani's representative has now revealed that an official approach was made during the winter transfer window, but concedes that there are a number of clubs from across Europe that could spark a scramble for the 27-year-old's signature at the end of the season.

Christophe Henrotay said: "Mbokani is having a great season and I can confirm interest from clubs across the continent.

"Juventus, Inter Milan and Fiorentina are all keen on him, but nothing has been discussed as yet.

"I can confirm that there was a bid from an English club in January. I will not reveal the name of that club."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
