Hernanes: Key to Lazio success

The Brazil playmaker has been strongly linked with a move to Paris St Germain in recent weeks.

Hernanes is under contract with Lazio until June 2015 and the Serie A outfit are keen to keep his services.

"Regarding Hernanes' contract extension, we have a meeting coming up to solve this issue," Lazio chief Lotito said to Corriere dello Sport.

"Am I confident? I am a person that sticks to facts.

"I don't get carried away with things that haven't happened."

Hernanes, 28, joined Lazio from Sao Paulo in 2010 and has scored three times for the Biancoceleste in 11 appearances this season.

The Brazil international recently confirmed his wish to stay at the Roman club in the future.
