Giuseppe Rossi: Hopes to claim another major scalp

The Viola, coached by former Roma player and tactician Vincenzo Montella, are fifth in the standings and are hoping to claim another major scalp this season.

The Florence outfit beat reigning champions Juventus 4-2 back in October before winning 2-0 at AC Milan last month.

"We will go out to win and inflict Roma's first loss of the campaign," said Rossi, who is Serie A's top scorer with 12 goals.

"We always try to go out and win and we will have plenty of motivation to do so on Sunday."

Rivals Roma go into the match knowing that anything but a defeat will see them break a club record.

The Giallorossi have never started a season without losing a game in their opening 15 matches.

Roma go into the encounter on the back of a 1-1 result at Atalanta, their fourth straight draw, that left them in second position, three points adrift of leaders Juventus and three clear of Napoli.

Juve are riding a six-match winning streak in the league and visit Bologna on Friday without star player Andrea Pirlo.

The experienced midfielder sustained a knee injury last weekend and will be out until the new year.

Napoli are third and will be hoping to warm up for Wednesday's Champions League match against Arsenal with victory over Udinese on Saturday.

The Azzurri need to beat the Londoners by a 3-0 margin if they are to have any chance of progressing to the next round of the European competition.

Inter Milan host Parma looking to make amends for their disappointing performances off late.

The Nerazzurri drew 1-1 at Bologna before behind held to a 1-1 result against Sampdoria last weekend.

AC Milan midfielder Kaka will have plenty of motivation to score in Saturday's match at Livorno.

The Brazilian has never found the back of the net at the Armando Picchi stadium and is one strike shy of achieving his 100th Milan goal.

Genoa are riding a five-match unbeaten run heading into Sunday's encounter at Cagliari.

Their good run of form has seen the Grifoni climb to seventh place.

Lazio will be looking to end their winless run on the road this season at Torino.

Chievo, meanwhile, take on Sassuolo looking to make it three wins in a row.

The Verona outfit has won all of their games since the arrival of coach Eugenio Corini to the club last month.

Hellas Verona will fancy their chances of taking maximum points against Atalanta with the Verona outfit having won six and lost just once at home this season.

Bottom side Catania will be nowhere near full strength when they take on Sampdoria in Genoa.

The Sicilian outfit are without five injured players while midfielders Panagiotis Tachtsidis and Pablo Barrientos must serve a one-match ban this weekend.

aha, as a German supporting United I can only agree with your great insight in German football! No idea why, but I HATE Eintracht Braunschweig and please don't ever place a bet on Leverkusen, they mess up my ticket every time!
