Mauro Icardi: Argentine hot property has attracted interest from Man City, Liver

The Argentine striker has scored nine goals in Serie A this season, with Inter Milan the latest club said to be keen on signing him this summer.

Napoli, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham are also rumoured to have wanted to bring in Icardi.

City boss Roberto Mancini recently saw the striker in action on a return visit to his old club, who fended off his suitors during the recent transfer window.

"Icardi is doing very well, but at the moment no club has come forward for him," declared Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti.

"He has a contract with us until June 2015, so there is still time to evaluate everything, including the possibility to extend the agreement. We'll see."

A whopping 9 goals. Haven't we learned anything from buying one crap striker already from serie A?

m absolutely disgusted that I've been misquoted in saying that if a chance came up to join Arsenal I would be interested. What I meant to say is if Man United or Chelsea were interested......
