Bjarnason, an Iceland international midfielder, has dual ownership and the 25-year-old only joined Pescara permanently earlier this summer, having spent last season on loan at the now Serie B outfit.

He featured 23 times during his spell at the Stadio Adriatico, scoring twice, but was unable to prevent a 20th-place finish which saw his side suffer relegation from the Italian top flight.

Striker Petagna, 18, has arrived on a season-long loan deal with a view to Sampdoria securing joint ownership of him next summer.

The Italy Under 19 international has only made two first-team appearances for Milan, the club where he progressed through the youth system before making his debut last term.

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
