Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Insists Bayern will not celebrate next weekend

Should Borussia Dortmund fail to beat Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon, Bayern can clinch the title that very evening with victory over Hamburg, although no silverware will be present at the Allianz Arena.

Next week, Bayern host Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and the Bavarians are determined to not lose their focus.

"If we win the league, we will pick up the trophy on the penultimate day of the season at home to Augsburg," said their chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

There will not even be any celebrations on Saturday night should they clinch the title at the earliest stage of a season ever.

"We will not even eat together," said Rummenigge in the Bild newspaper. "We will certainly not be doing anything because we don't want to endanger the big chance we have in the Champions League because we are already celebrating."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
