The Belgian forward has seen his future become the subject of intense speculation over recent weeks.

Despite being welcomed back into the Stamford Bridge ranks this season following a successful loan spell at Werder Bremen in 2012/13, the 22-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular role.

A lack of first team action has sparked rumours suggesting that he could soon be on his way out of Chelsea on a permanent basis.

The likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Wolfsburg are all keen on taking De Bruyne back to the Bundesliga if the opportunity presents itself.

That door could be opened ahead of the January transfer window as De Bruyne's agent, Patrick de Koster, is due to hold talks with Chelsea in an effort to determine where his client stands.

De Koster told EXPRESS: "I am going to fly over to London to find a proper solution with Chelsea.

"Should Kevin be granted a transfer, I will be immediately on the phone to Michael Reschke (Leverkusen's general manager). We have a great relationship with him.

"Clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Wolfsburg have also enquired.

"Kevin will decide which club offers the best future for him on a sporting level."
