Sky Sports pundit pulls no punches in discussing his career in the game

Next up for Sporting Chapters to discuss his life in the game is Sky Sports' very own Gary Neville. In the typically candid style he has made his trademark Neville pulls no punches in discussing his career both on the pitch and in the studio.

Sky Sports Xtra users will be able to catch the interview before anyone else by signing in here, with the first broadcast scheduled for 6.30pm on Monday.

Having clocked up 400 appearances for Manchester United in a 19-year career at Old Trafford, along with 85 caps for England, it's fair to say Neville has a fair few tales, many of which are documented in his autobiography 'Red'.

No topic was out of bounds for Sporting Chapters as we quizzed Gary on his current role as England coach and some of the jobs he turned down before accepting Roy Hodgson's call.

On the topic of England, a fascinating insight into arguably the best side we've had since 1966 is disclosed, with Neville rueing a golden opportunity missed to add international honours to the raft of club trophies he won at United when the Three Lions fell just short at Euro '96.

The interview also discusses how the Euro 2004 team underachieved and his one-time problem with the FA.

His time at Manchester United is also dissected at length as Neville provides a unique insight into life at one of the biggest clubs in the world. The class of '92 is appraised by one of its key pupils, while Neville is happy to give his take on what makes Sir Alex Ferguson tick.

Never anything less than frank and honest, Gary Neville's Sporting Chapters makes for a must-see interview and remember you can watch it first on Sky Sports Xtra at 6.30pm on Monday evening.

Sporting Chapters has spoken to some of the world's most popular sports people over the past year, from Rafa Benitez to Seb Coe to Ian Thorpe and you can watch them all in full here.
