Floyd Mayweather: Fighting for the first time since beating Miguel Cotto in May

Saturday night promises to be a major night for international boxing, with two of the sport's biggest names in action.

First up is Wladimir Klitschko, who puts his five belts on the line against challenger Francesco Pianeta in Germany, before Floyd Mayweather goes toe-to-toe with Robert Guerrero at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

With no shortage of money being lodged on either bout, Sky Bet identify where the smart money should be going with Klitschko and Mayweather the overwhelming favourites in their respective bouts.

Money to bust The Ghost

Saturday night sees the return to the ring of Mayweather as he touches gloves with Robert Guerrero after almost a year on from his last bout.

Having beaten the large majority of the welterweight division's elite, Guerrero is arguably a step down in class for Mayweather, echoed by the unusually slow pace of ticket sales on the event.

That won't stop punters betting on the bout, though, and Mayweather has found southpaws like Guerrero more difficult to contend with than most, though he's still the overwhelming favourite at 1/12 with Sky Bet.

Arguably, no welterweight around can out-cute Mayweather, so if Guerrero is to trouble the undefeated 36-year-old he'll have to bring a hugely aggressive attitude with him.

Even with that, Mayweather is not one to panic and could easily exploit any gaps in Guerrero's defence if the Mexican-American does come out all guns blazing.

Guerrero won't win on points so avoid backing it even at 11/1 - it's more likely that one of Mayweather's famous attacking spurts in the second half of the fight will settle the contest.

Thus, going over six rounds at 1/9 may not promise much of a return on anything other than a large stake, but it's rare that Mayweather closes things out early doors, such is his commendable patience.

The group-round betting appears to be the best form of attack on the bookmakers, with Sky Bet there for the taking at 7/2 on Mayweather to win in rounds 7-12. Alternatively, if it's greater value you're after, Mayweather in rounds 10-12 is a good bet at 6/1.

Best bet: Mayweather to beat Guerrero in rounds 7-12 - 3/1

Wager on Wladimir

Wladimir Klitschko makes yet another defence of his array of heavyweight titles as Francesco Pianeta takes on the Ukrainian in Germany on Saturday night.

Although undefeated, Pianeta does not bring with him a professional record to concern Klitschko, with few of his 28 victims of high acclaim in the division.

Wins over aging duo Oliver McCall and Frans Botha last year, followed by a first-round technical knock-out of Nelson Dario Dominguez, have put the Germany-based Italian in the frame for a title shot.

The term 'on the line' is to be taken loosely as Klitschko, the younger of the two brothers, offers Pianeta the chance to create headlines around the world by snatching his WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO titles.

Klitschko: Not lost since 2004

Even at 12/1 the 28-year-old is not worth backing, with Klitschko's odds of 1/50 painting a picture of its own, so it's a matter of when, and I like the look of the value available in Sky Bet's grouped round betting.

All but one of Klitschko's last 10 fights have gone six rounds or over, but at 8/13 that's a little too short to invest in with better odds available, such as 3/1 to win in rounds 7-9.

Pianeta will do very well to take things beyond the ninth round, with his opponent 9/2 to win in rounds 10-12, but it's a big ask for the underdog to last that long.

For punters hoping or indeed expecting the favourite to come out looking for an early finish, the Ukrainian can be backed to get the job done inside one round at 10/1, or rounds 1-3 at 5/2.

Best bet: Wladimir Klitschko to beat Francesco Pianeta in rounds 7-9 - 3/1

t's wrong to be making a joke out of Bender's name at the expense of gay people. It's the kind of childish, uncivilised thing that Football365 would deride and ridicule if it was another media outlet saying. Why is there a need for jokes like this? Does it make your writers feel like men? F365 might suggest that I 'lighten up', but it is genuinely traumatic for people who have been oppressed all their lives to be the butt of jokes, and to be told...

ou can't blame De Gea for wanting to leave, he has enough to do in front of goal as it is as well as taking on the role of Man Utd's version of Derek Acorah in trying to contact and organise a defence that isn't there.
