Jake Livermore: Impressing at Hull City

Jake Livermore: Impressing at Hull City

The on-loan Tottenham midfielder has had an impressive start to the campaign with Hull City, who he has joined for the season.

The 23-year-old has already made his senior debut, playing against Italy last year, but he has not been involved since - although he is hoping his regular appearances for Hull will help.

"I'm not looking that far ahead at the minute," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"My main thing is making sure Hull are safe this season and whatever happens on a personal basis, we'll wait and see."

Livermore has seen his close friend Andros Townsend make a huge impact on the international scene and he is hopeful he could follow in his footsteps.

"I've played with Andros and I've been saying the same thing for two or three years now - that he's got enough to set the Premier League alight," he said.

"It's just a matter of getting games and showing people what you can do. You can be the best player in the world but if you're sitting on the bench, coming on for 10 minutes, you can't really show what you can do.

"He's showing that it can be done (getting England call-ups) but maybe players need to go out to get their chance.

"There's a lot of talent in the country and even at my parent club Tottenham, they're bringing through an awful lot of players."

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
