Chris Coleman: Needs key men to produce club form at international level

With Ramsey in red-hot form for Arsenal and a summer move to Real Madrid making Bale the most expensive player on the planet, expectation around the pair has risen considerably.

Both men are experienced enough to handle the pressure and will be hoping to play a prominent role in Euro 2016 qualification.

Coleman will remain at the Wales helm for that campaign, having penned a two-year extension to his contract, and he is looking forward to working with two of the brightest talents in world football.

He said ahead of Saturday's friendly date with Finland: "We need Gareth and Aaron at their best for the majority of the games if we are going to mount a challenge. Our players aren't daft and they know how good these players are.

"When I played we had stand-out players like Ian Rush, Mark Hughes, Dean Saunders, Ryan Giggs and Neville Southall and we knew we had a chance. It's the same now. We have two world-class performers now and I want to work with that.

"Equally, there is a responsibility on Baley and Rambo to make sure that when they are with us, they continue their club form - which they do."

Coleman's penning of fresh terms has been greeted with a mixed response from the Welsh public, but he hopes to silence the doubters with performances on the field.

He added: "If I was easily insulted then this is not the job or industry to be involved in. Whatever they say about me, I'm not bothered. I don't worry about pleasing everybody.

"All I remember is playing in Belgium and our supporters were absolutely fantastic. I just want the fans to be behind the team.

"Nowadays, there are websites, Facebook and Twitter, and I'll guarantee you that most people who have their say don't even come and watch us play."

f Klopp is available and willing to go there, they have to sign him up. Far better manager than Rodgers. The reason Liverpool fail in so many big games is the inflexible nature of their manager and his inability to find strikers who fit into his inflexible style of play. A feature of nearly every game that the team comes up short is the way the opposition midfield appears to overpower them. It's too easy.

est player award should not go to a player who's second best at all the importent categories (i.e goals, assists etc) just because his team is at the top. If you are not first you are last; if you're second you are the first loser ( looking at you Hazard). David De Gea for POTY.
