Giovanni Trapattoni: Using Ireland's game in Wales to prepare his squad for

Ireland travel to the Cardiff City Stadium looking to build confidence ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifiers with Sweden and Austria in September.

They will face a Wales side without star man Gareth Bale, but Trapattoni insists Wales are not a one-man-team, and he expects Craig Bellamy to pose a threat to his defence.

"This is no friendly," Trapattoni said. "I know this country. I was here many years ago with Italy, as was their scorer that night, Bellamy.

"We won in Italy but we lost over here and we know about this team, I have seen so many games and I know the Welsh players, they have a good mentality and they are international players.

"After this game we can reflect, and we will know from our attitude and personality whether we are ready to play against Sweden."

t's a bloody good goal, though. Sh!t, the kid's gonna be the worlds best before we know it, isn't he? He's got the touch of genius in him. Like Neymar, but with muscles and stuff. He's doing a Ronaldo as we watch. He's bulked up to be able to ride the tackles, but he's improved technically as well. His touch is sublime. Bugger.
