Steve Cotterill: Looking to boost Forest's squad

Steve Cotterill is hoping to make one further addition to his Nottingham Forest squad, but the Reds boss knows he must choose wisely with just one more place available for a loan signing.

Forest have four players already on loan at the City Ground - Danny Higginbotham, Scott Wootton, Adlene Guedioura and Greg Cunningham - and only five are allowed in each matchday squad.

Cotterill is considering his options as he targets 'the right player'.

"It (an other signing) is something we might look at. But the only thing is, because we have so many loans already, we can't play all of them if we make many more," Cotterill told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"We don't want to waste money on players who are not always going to play. With one place available, it has to be the right one. We need to get the next match out of the way, then I might have a better idea of what we need."

Cotterill added: "The ones we have already got might give us a lift. Plus it is very difficult just to drop lots of new players into your side all at once. You have to bring them in gently, rather than trying to build a whole new team."

his is for the best, his hunger would be in serious question now after winning everything with us. A true Chelsea legend, up there with Osgood and Zola, come back and see us now and then Didier. And as Martin Tyler said on Saturday night....he is immortal at Chelsea. What a way to go out eh....Good luck big man wherever you land next.

ne of the many delights of the final few seconds of the season was seeing little Mike Owen with his trackie off and full replica kit on, getting ready to celebrate having contributed NOTHING all season. Would have been on a par with Terry's carry-on in Munich.
