With Walter Mazzarri leaving to take over at Inter Milan having guided the Azzurri to second in Serie A, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently suggested the next manager's name would begin with an M.

Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is one available possibility, but Angelo Pistani, who represented Maradona during his recent tax hearings in the city, has claimed that the Argentine would be a good fit.

"The only coach with a big M for Napoli is Diego Maradona," Pisani told Radio Italiana CRC.

Maradona's seven-year spell at the Stadio San Paolo covered the peak of his playing career, and included the club's two Serie A titles and the UEFA Cup in 1989. Following his departure in 1991, the club retired the number 10 shirt in his honour.

More recently, Maradona coached the Argentinian national side for two years, and was in charge of Al Wasl in Dubai for 12 months until he was sacked in July 2012.

"He would be very happy for having the chance of returning to the club, maybe as a sports director or simply for being with the team in Europe," Pisani added.

"He would be suitable at any role. I don't know if De Laurentiis sees this as a possibility, but Diego would be the best representative of the city."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
