Andre Santos: Moves to Flamengo

The 30-year-old left-back, who has won 24 caps for his country, had previously been on loan in his homeland with Gremio.

However, he now makes a permanent switch to Flamengo, where he once had a loan spell during the 2005-06 season.

The Rio de Janeiro-based club have taken Santos on a free transfer, after successfully completing a medical on Thursday.

Flamengo are managed by Mano Menezes, whom Santos played under during his stint in charge of the Brazil national team.
