Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Admits his agent spoke to clubs in the summer

The Swedish striker only moved to the Parc des Princes from AC Milan in the summer of 2012 but his magnificent form fuelled speculation that a number of clubs were interested in luring him away during the transfer window.

The likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus were all linked with Ibrahimovic, but a move never materialised and he this week signed an extension to his PSG deal to keep him in the French capital until 2016.

The 31-year-old insists he is thrilled to be staying at PSG, but admits there was contact about a possible switch in the summer.

"I can confirm that this summer my agent spoke with several clubs," he said to RMC Sport.

"I spoke with PSG president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] and, after our conversation, I decided to stay here and we reached a [contract] agreement.

"I am happy here and I hope that together PSG and I can do something historic."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
