QPR's defensive resilience frustrated City on Tuesday night, meaning league leaders Manchester United could go seven points clear with a win against Southampton on Wednesday night.

"Of course we are disappointed not to narrow the gap," defender Joleon Lescott told CityTV.

"We need to start winning games and put the pressure on them, especially if we play before them.

"We couldn't have won the league tonight and certainly can't lose it so we just have to keep on going.

"We need to concentrate on our own games and if they do slip up we need to put ourselves in a position to be there."
