The Belgium international has proved to be one of the signings of the season after scoring 15 goals for Villa since his £8million switch from Genk.

Benteke has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as a result of his impressive form, although Villa manager Paul Lambert has warned clubs will have to dig deep to sign the 22-year-old.

The forward's representative Eris Kismet is not ruling out a summer sale if every party is happy and is not surprised other clubs are showing an interest in Benteke.

"It is normal that if you go to a club and do well, then other clubs will show an interest," said Kismet in the Daily Telegraph.

"Christian has shown that he can play in England so why not take the step up to the next level if the opportunity is there?

"At the end of the season, interested clubs will talk to Villa, but it has to be right for Villa, the buying club and Christian.

"If all three parties are agreeable, something could happen, but right now his focus is on Villa, helping them stay in the Premier League."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
