'Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has likened team-mate Luis Suarez to Lionel Messi when it comes to his ability to go past people' That's called a byline and it's is written by a journalist. That means it's not a direct quote from Enrique which is the point vdawg was making. Looks pretty clear to me, or do you just believe everything journalists say?

I despair with some of the intelligence levels on the comments section on this site at times. He doesn't actually compare Suarez to Messi here. All he says is its a similar situation but people put two and two together and come up with five. Idiots.

@yesiricanboogie: ha ha, you must be a very sensitive guy if u think that was a hissy fit. I imagine u are a nervous wreck when someone raises their voice a little! I have no problem with pool fans commenting on a utd thread. Was just what was being said deserved a reaction. Which, if u are honest, was what you were looking for so job done!

He does have the ability of Messi. Strong candidate for player of the year IMO.

I think Enrique is being quite clear when he mentions Messi. He isn't comparing the two like for like, merely commenting on the inability of defenders to tackle the player, even if they know the direction that the player is likely to turn.

Ooops, the Messi comment is a bit over the top. Why not say he's brilliant and leave it like that. Too many Messi comparisons, and too many of them are wrong. P.S. Messi has some real quality around him to help him look good, Suarez does a fair amount for himself.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
