Danny Graham: Admitted he has not been good enough for Sunderland

Graham has failed to score for Sunderland in nine games after becoming former manager Martin O'Neill's final signing at the Stadium of Light.

The 27-year-old has impressed in Sunderland's two victories against Newcastle and Everton and he is keen to build on those performances for the rest of the campaign.

"I will hold my hands up, in my first few games, my performances were not too good," Graham told the Sunderland Echo.

"However, I have set my standard now and hopefully I can maintain that."

Graham is confident he can fill the void left by Steven Fletcher's injury and score the goals to fire Sunderland to safety.

"It is unfortunate Steven got injured," added Graham.

"He has been a vital part of the club this season and scored 11 goals. It was a massive blow to the team.

"However, that gives opportunities to other people and you have to take them."

icky van Wolfswinkel's remarkable record of one goal from one game at least deserves an honourable mention. And I'm willing to bet that at least one of Costa, Ulloa or Enner Valencia will earn a place on the list by the end of the season. Probably not Costa
