The 25-year-old frontman finally arrived in the Premier League over the summer following many windows of intense transfer speculation.

Norwich were the ones to lure Hooper away from Celtic, with big money paid for a proven marksman.

Injuries have prevented him from making the early impact he had been hoping for at Carrow Road, but a brace in a Capital One Cup tie at Watford on Tuesday has him up and running.

Hooper is now determined to kick on with new employers and earn the international recognition which has been mooted for some time.

He said: "It's early days but everyone wants to play for their country.

"I just have to get on the pitch in the Premier League and start scoring. That's the next step.

"It has been frustrating with the injury at Norwich. But I had a calf problem when I first signed for Celtic and that worked out all right in the end.

"I need to keep scoring because that's my job. If I can keep scoring like I did at Celtic, then it will be a good few years."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
