Andre Villas-Boas has suggested that Chelsea chose success over developing a distinctive style when they sacked him in March last year, as the Tottenham Hotspur manager prepares to return to Stamford Bridge tonight for a critical league game against his former club.

It would have been more bearable if Wigan Athletic had not contributed so terribly themselves to the result which may prove deeply significant in what, as things stand today, looks like a losing battle to extend their existence in the Premier League into a ninth year.

Loads of aimless dribbles and 40 yard shots and not much else. I would say that if he had learnt to be a bit more of a team player he may have done better at City.
