The winger scored the winner in Sunday's vital 2-1 success over West Ham United before being forced off late on after taking a knock to his calf.

He has brushed off the injury and has no qualms with the physical aspect of the game after confirming he will be fit for Villa's trip to Arsenal on Saturday 23rd February.

"I do enjoy it," said N'Zogbia in the Daily Mirror. "Sometimes I kick and I get kicked. That's football. This one really hurt but it's okay. But I'm happy to hurt people too! Sometimes it's good.

"Some French people like to kick as well. I'm a man. I got a kick at the end on the calf and it was really sore but it's fine now."

The win over West Ham lifted Villa out of the relegation zone and N'Zogbia has urged the squad to stick together in order to preserve the club's top-flight status.

He added: "I've been through that many years and I just know we have to keep working together, keep believing in our football and our players.

"All we have to do is stick to the manager, stick to the players and hopefully we are all working in the same way.

"The secret is you have to stick together and never let people down. West Ham was an important win for the team and the club. Now we have to believe in ourselves and be confident for the next games."
