Rovers approach the Championship game on the back of 0-0 draw against Leeds and are struggling for numbers, as several key players are out injured.

Midfielder Martin Olsson suffered an eye injury during training last Friday and could be out for up to six weeks while Lee Williamson picked up an ankle problem in Tuesday's defeat at Hull.

Dickson Etuhu could be ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem and has not played since December while Colin Kazim-Richards hurt his ankle in the second half against Leeds, with initial signs not good for an early return.

"We're down to the bare bones now in terms of numbers," Rovers manager Michael Appleton said.

"We don't know the full extent (of Kazim-Richards' injury) yet. He is going for a scan this afternoon.

"The worry is that he could be out for up to two to three months. We hope he isn't, we hope it is a few weeks job, but even if it's that with all the massive games we have, it is going to be a massive blow."
