The Sweden international has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Norwich City and West Ham, following another impressive campaign as Rovers adjusted to life in the second tier.
It had been suggested that the 25-year old was looking for an exit from the Championship club, but Bowyer is hopeful of having Olsson involved in his squad for the forthcoming season.
"He's hoping to go to the World Cup with Sweden and he's a valuable member of the squad, so it would certainly take a good offer," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He's been linked with clubs but until we get anything concrete we'll have to see what happens.
"We've had no contact from Norwich as far as I'm aware. He's not said anything to me about wanting to leave."
The Blackburn boss also spoke about potential signings, but he admitted that things have been fairly quiet so far.
"We've been looking at several targets; I don't really want to put a number on it," said Bowyer.
"I was hoping it was going to hot up at the start of this week but it hasn't happened yet.
"We've had a couple of enquiries for a couple of our young lads on loan, but that's been about it."
