The Town academy product, 22, was snapped up by Palace towards the end of the deadline in a deal reportedly worth up to £2million.

Whilst sad to leave Town, he admits he had to take the chance of moving to the Premier League.

"The interest from Crystal Palace filled me with a lot of confidence," Hunt told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

"Obviously the Premier is the best league in the world and I jumped at the chance to go to Palace.

"I spoke to the manager for a good hour, hour-and-a-half and the chat was brilliant, he is a brilliant man and very honest.

"I can't wait to play for him and you can see why he has such a good team spirit there, and that was only after one conversation with him.

"From my point of view, playing against better players will only improve me.

"I have got quite a bit of experience for my age, but to test myself against the best players in the world, in the best league in the world, will be brilliant for me."

e have the personnel. The trick is keeping them fit. Carrick and Blind have missed large chunks of the season, while the defence has been one muddled mess of intermittent stooges, all coming and going at various intervals thus far. We may be just short of title winning quality, but we're half way through. An injury crisis to either of the top two could change things. Optimistic, yes, but not unrealistic.

arish is the man to blame for this shambles. Pulis must be chuckling into his left over turkey sandwich. I pray this doesn't mean the Neil Warnock media machine will kick in now and he'll be back on the telly box.

e almost found a new way to lose, just when I thought it was getting boring Giroud does that. Although Arsenal are deservedly called 'soft' the entire midfield is out injured. Still must admit MU are managing to win despite a similar raft of absentees. Think the Gunners have good players but poorly coached.
