This time last season the Blues were rocked by the dismissal of boss Andre Villas-Boas, who left with the club struggling in the Premier League and facing elimination from Europe.

However his replacement, Roberto Di Matteo, helped turn the club's fortunes around and guided them to memorable success in both the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Fast forward 12 months and yet more managerial drama is circling Stamford Bridge, with Di Matteo departing in November and his successor Rafa Benitez proving unpopular with the club's supporters.

Patchy league form saw their hopes of lifting the Premier League ended long ago and their grip on the Champions League faltered at the group stage, but they remain in the hunt for the FA Cup and Europa League.

Ramires is convinced the squad can rally round, prove their critics wrong and add more silverware to the Stamford Bridge trophy cabinet.

"It was around this time last year that everybody was telling us the season was lost already and we wouldn't win anything. Well we all know how that ended," said the Brazil international.

"We are fighting for two competitions and we also need to make sure we get back in the Champions League, which means we have to finish in the top four.

"So until the last game is over, and there are no chances left for us to do anything, we will try to make sure we win something, as well as make our supporters happy. If there is any chance, even the smallest, the fans can know that we will be trying our best and we will never give up."
