Kevin de Bruyne: Could be set for a loan move to Anderlecht

The Paars-wit managing director confirmed their interest in signing the 22-year-old Belgium international on loan for the rest of the season.

Former Genk star De Bruyne has struggled to break into Jose Mourinho's plans and will likely be heading out of Stamford Bridge with the World Cup in mind.

German duo Schalke and Wolfsburg are also reportedly eyeing up a move for de Bruyne, but Van Holsbeeck feels Anderlecht stand a chance of getting him.

"Kevin could come to Anderlecht in January," he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

"It's not an easy deal, but it is something we are investigating. The World Cup being next year makes this possible - he wants regular football so he makes the competition."
