So who will replace David Moyes as manager of Everton after his appointment as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor at Manchester United? Wigan's Robert Martinez heads the betting. Check out the latest odds

Sky Sports News Radio presenter Mikey Burrows hosts this week's Podcast and is joined in the studio by TEAMtalk.com Editor Simon Wilkes and TEAMtalk journalist Rob McCarthy.

The trio get straight into a heated debate about Southampton's superb win over Manchester City, with Burrows claiming the defending champions were beaten by a 'struggling' Saints side and both Wilkes and McCarthy arguing there had been a visible improvement in their displays since the shock appointment of Mauricio Pochettino.

They then turn their attention to Sunday's action, which saw Manchester United beat Everton to stretch 12 points clear of City ahead of their gargantuan Champions League tussle with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Wilkes feels the title race is done and dusted and can't see City closing the gap - and floats the idea that Tottenham could be contenders for a second-placed finish, with McCarthy waxing lyrical about Gareth Bale, claiming he is the best player in the Premier League right now.

The relegation battle comes under the spotlight, and the trio find it hard to argue the cause for Harry Redknapp's rockbottom Rangers getting out of trouble following their limp display in their drubbing by Swansea.

There are plenty more talking points as the entire top-flight weekend is debated - plus we give a shout to a listener who tweeted our #ilovethepodcast slogan.

The Podcast will be available on iTunes but you can listen to it here now.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
