The Chilean will make his managerial debut on English soil in front of his own fans before taking his side to Wales to take on newly-promoted Cardiff City, which will be their first home game in the Premier League.

City will finish the month at home, with another of the promoted sides - Hull City - visiting the Etihad Stadium.

The opening derby of the season comes early on with City due to host Manchester United on 21 September, with their visit to Old Trafford scheduled for 1 March.

Boxing Day sees them host Liverpool, whilst on New Year's Day they will again cross the border to face Swansea City.

As well as starting the season at home, they also finish the campaign in front of their own fans, as they host West Ham United.
