David Moyes: Says Manchester United can cope without Wayne Rooney and Robin van

Rooney was absent from United's midweek 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk due to a shin injury, while van Persie completed the game but a knock to his toe has cast doubts over his fitness.

Aside from the duo, Danny Welbeck is the only other United player to find the net in the Premier League, but Moyes believes that he has other squad members capable of rectifying that.

"I think we've got other really good players and it wouldn't be down just to those two to score goals," he told the Sun.

"We've got other players who are capable of scoring goals.

"We have to make sure that when Wayne and Robin aren't available, we have people who can take up the mantle."
