The 19-year-old was a key player for the Bantams as the League Two side reached the Capital One Cup final before losing 5-0 to Swansea City at Wembley.

Having only moved to England in July, the Australian defender was boosted by the experience and is now well-prepared to make a mark at St James' Park.

"It was a brilliant experience," Good told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle after playing a full game for Newcastle reserves against Manchester City on Friday.

"To be part of the something like that with Bradford is special. It's hard to describe really. Unfortunately the final didn't go the way we wanted it to.

"But when you come up against a team like Swansea they are going to want the ball a lot so we couldn't create a lot. I was proud of the boys for getting there."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
