Santon was linked with a move back to his native Italy during the January transfer window with Milan thought to be keen on his services.

Reports have suggested Milan may rekindle their interest in the full-back this summer as they look to bolster their squad.

Santon admits he is flattered by the rumours, but says he is happy with life at Newcastle after joining in the summer of 2011 from Inter Milan with his partner due to give birth in May.

"I'm really happy in Newcastle," Santon told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I like the city, the club and the atmosphere.

"I'm also engaged to Chloe and we're expecting a baby in May. I live like a king in Newcastle and I have a contract until 2016.

"A return to Italy? At Newcastle I'm a king and I have a contract until 2016. But I've heard of the interest from Milan in me and that is really pleasing because I have been a Milan fan since I was a child.

"I'm not sure what would happen if another Italian club came in for me, but I'd seriously think about packing my bags for Milan."

Santon admits the presence of former Inter Milan team-mate Mario Balotelli at AC Milan would make it an even more attractive proposition to join the Rossoneri.

"Balotelli? We were still friends and I'm glad he's doing well at Milan," added Santon.

"His presence would be an incentive to accept AC Milan."

Good player IMO and one who is improving. No-one can be kept against their will. We will turn a pretty profit on him and Haidara is an able replacement (if he's not broken thanks to that that Wigan Twunt...). Then NUFC can reinvest the money in some other top class bargains.
