A tough week, admits Pardew

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew will head in to his 100th Premier League match in charge of the Magpies against West Ham after battling through a week he concedes has been one of the most trying of his time in the job.

Pardew watched his side mauled 4-0 at Manchester City on Monday night a matter of hours after Arsenal tabled an unwelcome and "derisory" £10m offer for star French midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

"It's not been the easiest of weeks," said Pardew. "There's been a few agendas in my time as Newcastle manager, but this has certainly been very colourful.

"But it's my hundredth Premier League game in charge of Newcastle this week and I'm very proud of that."

Pardew would not be drawn on the possible inclusion of Cabaye, who was not included against City, but dismissed talk of further exits from the club, with long-serving striker Shola Ameobi linked with a move away after continually failing to cement a first-team starting berth.

"Shola has been a good player at this football club and a great character and leader," added Pardew.

"My position is clear on all the players - if there is a situation where it's right for the player and the club then we'll move the player on. In Shola's case that isn't where he's at at the moment because we need to get results quickly."

ow is the time for Allardyce to finally get a chance at a big club please. He is likely to have a number of great offers for his services this summer, but who will he choose? Will it be Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund or Man City?
