Pearson: Moore going nowhere

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has shrugged off the latest round of rumours linking Liam Moore with a top flight switch.

Liam Moore: Attracting attention, but an important part of Leicester's plans

The 20-year-old defender, who has been crowned the Football League's Young Player of the Month for September, is reported to be interesting Newcastle United.

Pearson acknowledges that speculation is always going to circulate once a player of promise breaks into the senior set-up at a club outside of the Premier League.

He is, however, confident that Leicester can hang on to Moore and has dismissed transfer gossip as little more than an unwelcome distraction.

Pearson told the Leicester Mercury: "I suppose speculation is always going to coincide with someone being recognised.

"He is a very important member of our squad and I have no intention of him leaving us.

"I suppose if there are links to big clubs like that, it shows he is moving in the right direction.

"I don't think anything like that is ever helpful, in all honesty. There doesn't seem to be too much breathing space between our players being speculated about by someone else."

Moore is also reading little into the reports, with the England U21 international fully focused on events at the King Power Stadium.

He said: "I haven't taken much notice of it really.

"I have said what I have always wanted to do from the very first media interview was to play for Leicester City. Right now I have that chance and that is all I am concentrating on."

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
