The 24-year-old has endured a stop-start beginning to his Spurs career since a summer switch from FC Twente, having suffered a number of injury setbacks.

Chadli started the draw against the current champions, his first league appearance since the end of September, and he is now hoping to push on and make an impact at White Hart Lane.

"I was happy with my game. I'm still missing some stamina to go up front," he told Dutch newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

"It's normal that I'm not 100% in my first Premier League game in three months.

"At the beginning of the season I was struggling with injuries, a few games later, when I was fit again, I got that injury on the hamstrings.

"The coach was happy, I'm happy too, because I could play 87 minutes. It wasn't easy, because I had also played in the Europa League on Thursday."

Meanwhile, Chadli's Spurs and Belgium team-mates Moussa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen were both happy to see the winger return to the frame.

Dembele said: "It was a disappointment we had to miss Nacer for such a long time, but he has played a good game. I'm really happy for him."

While Vertonghen added: "I enjoy playing with Nacer Chadli. I can talk to him, he talks and he is very conscientious in everything that's asked from him.

"He makes my job as a left-back more comfortable."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
