A Liverpool win would see the Reds equal their best ever run of wins set in the top-flight, with Brendan Rodgers' side especially strong at Anfield having the only team yet to lose any points from a winning position at home this season.
Mourinho, though, has a fine record in the Premier League against Liverpool, and Chelsea have been strong previously in games which have fallen between Champions League semi-final first and second legs.
Elsewhere, Ryan Giggs takes charge of Manchester United against a Norwich side who have collected the fewest points on the road of any team in the Premier League, while Manchester City go to Crystal Palace, where they have won only two of their last 11 league games.
