But the 23-year-old, who signed a two-year deal with the Tigers after leaving Scottish side Rangers in the summer, remains an early doubt for next weekend's game at Watford due to a calf/Achilles problem.

Hull assistant manager Steve Agnew stressed Aluko's injury was not expected to be long-term.

"No, not at all," said Agnew following Saturday's 2-1 win at Forest. "Sone had a scan on Friday and it showed some fluid around the calf stroke Achilles area.

"But our physio is looking after Sone and he says he'll be treated throughout the week and assessed, although it's a little bit early to say whether he'll make next Saturday or not."

Aluko's form has been one of the highlights for Hull this season and the former Birmingham winger has been a virtual ever-present for manager Steve Bruce, scoring eight goals in 20 appearances.
