The right-back, who has been with the Blues since Under-8 level, joins Rovers on a one-month youth loan, through to February 10.

With defender Adam Henley facing a hefty spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, Rovers' caretaker manager Gary Bowyer was quick to secure the services of the England Under-19 international.

Kane, who is yet to play for his parent club, ended the 2011-12 season as part of the winning first-team squad that flew to Munich for the Champions League final.

The 19-year-old is available for Rovers' upcoming Championship fixtures against Wolves, Charlton Athletic, Brighton, Bristol City and Ipswich.
