The Sierra Leone international has caught the eye of Trotters manager Dougie Freedman as he looks to bolster his midfield resources before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Partizan's director of sport Ljubisa Tumbakovic has confirmed the 25-year-old is on his way to the Reebok Stadium.

He told Sportski zurnal: "Yes, it is true. Medo will move to England's second division.

"We got an offer and the club is dealing with it.

"But he is going to Bolton for sure."

Kamara has been at Partizan Belgrade since 2010, notching up over 50 appearances for the Serbian club.

He was linked with a Premier League move to Tottenham last summer as the club prepared to lose Luka Modric but a switch never materialised.

The midfielder added: "Maybe Bolton are no longer in the Premier League but it's still a very good club and the Championship is also a very strong league.

"I choose Bolton because I believe that they will return to the Premier League immediately. To play in the Premier League is my biggest dream."
