Having been knocking on the Premier League door for some time, the Bluebirds are hoping to see it swing open in 2012/13.

An eight-point lead, and a game in hand, at the top of the Championship standings suggests they are well on course to join the top-flight elite.

There are, however, still 16 games to come and Conway is aware that Cardiff cannot afford to take anything for granted.

"Everyone else seems to mention it but, if I'm being honest, we are just focusing on taking it a game at a time," the Scotland international told Sky Sports News HD.

"We are coming to Bristol (City) on Saturday and that's all that is in our heads, and I think that's all we can afford to be on.

"We just have to take it a game at a time because, at the end of the day, we have got a good gap but it could slip at any time. All it takes is one or two slips and all of a sudden the pressure is on."

Taylor agrees with his club colleague, with Cardiff's focused locked on one goal.

He added: "There are no targets other than getting promotion. If that's 79, 80, 90, 100, whatever it takes. As long we get promoted, that will be fantastic."
