Ngog, 23, scored his sixth goal of the season as Wanderers made it six games unbeaten against Barnsley at the weekend, and victories in the upcoming back-to-back home games would fire Dougie Freedman's men firmly into play-off contention.

"All the team worked really hard against Barnsley. It was a difficult game against a good team and it was a good win," said the former Liverpool striker on Bolton's official website.

"We are understanding each other better and better. The work in training has been good and it is starting to pay off on the pitch. Now we have to keep doing it."

On Wanderers' play-off prospects, Ngog added: "We are getting closer, we still believe in it. Blackburn is a home game, and we will try to do our best and work as a team to get a good result."
