Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated that manager Darren Ferguson will not be leaving the club.

Darren Ferguson: Peterborough boss had been linked with the vacant post at Wolve

Ferguson had been linked with the vacant managerial position at Wolves, but MacAnthony tweeted that he will remain at Posh and has already begun preparing for next season.

MacAnthony tweeted: "Just to confirm Posh fans, DF will not be going to any other club and is already planning with me about our title push next season.

"Both he and Rooster (assistant manager Kevin Russell) travelling to the states next week to spend few days with me planning everything. I'm already excited about new season."

Peterborough were relegated on the final day of the Championship season after falling to a 3-2 defeat at Crystal Palace.
