With the tie poised at 0-0 after the first leg, the Seagulls boss knows victory would leave his side just 90 minutes from the Premier League.

Poyet is expecting a thrilling atmosphere and a tight encounter as the two rivals lock horns for the second time in four days.

"There will not be a winner by many goals so let's see if we can use our home advantage," he told the club's official website.

"This tie, anywhere in the world, is 50/50 but I would always want to play in front of my fans.

"To create an unbelievable atmosphere is very important. There are moments in the game when you are doing well, and the fans are there, which subconsciously helps you even more and puts the opposition down a bit.

"The relationship between the fans and the players has been getting better and better at this club, and they all understand each other very well.

"That will be key, but I don't think we need to ask for anything more from them because we are playing against Palace, so it will be amazing."

Poyet has no new injury worries with full-back Bruno still sidelined with a calf problem and strike duo Craig Mackail-Smith (Achilles) and Will Hoskins (knee) both absent.

With so little time to recover between the games, Poyet says he will freshen up his line-up with the likes of Vicente, Andrew Crofts, Kazenga LuaLua and Ashley Barnes in contention to start.

Crystal Palace are pinning their hopes on on-loan Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha firing them to Wembley.

The 20-year-old, who will move to Old Trafford in the summer, is desperate to sign off by helping the Eagles to promotion.

But Zaha and his team-mates will head to the Amex for the return leg as underdogs, especially after 30-goal top scorer Glenn Murray was ruled out with a suspected cruciate injury.

The England international is expected to shake off an ankle knock in time to pick up where he left off in the second half at Selhurst Park, where he gave Brighton right-back Inigo Calderon a torrid time.

"He's such a threat," said manager Ian Holloway. "He got at Calderon I thought. He put in one cross and Jonny Williams almost got his studs on it and we needed something like that.

"He's got a sore ankle so we're hoping he's okay."

Holloway will chose between Aaron Wilbraham or Kevin Phillips to lead the line in Murray's absence but defenders Paddy McCarthy (groin) and Jonathan Parr (ankle) are still out.
