The 21-year old decided to exit Liverpool two years ago following a lack of first-team opportunities at Anfield, opting for a move to Blackpool where he has since excelled, scoring 28 times in his 90 appearances.

Ince has been linked with a move to top-flight clubs on several occasions, but he says that chances of regular football are limited due to the influx of players from abroad.

"It is hard because in the Premier League there are a lot of foreign players, particularly in the top five clubs," he told the Daily Mail.

"It makes it very hard for young English players to break through.

"You can see that with the likes of Tom Carroll going to Queens Park Rangers on loan from Tottenham. Andros Townsend and other good players like Danny Rose had to go out on loan from Tottenham who are having to take a step back.

"A lot of people make rash decisions based on getting into the Premier League too quickly. You have to earn the right to be somewhere. Wherever you go, you are not guaranteed to play football.

"There are a lot of English players out there now at big clubs who aren't playing football. I am happy to be playing in the Championship - people underestimate how good this league is.

"I will know when the time is right to go into the Premier League. When I do, I don't want to be loaned out or be in and out of the team. I have to make sure that I am ready."

Tottenham and Everton were amongst the clubs reporting to be chasing Ince's signature this summer, but he chose to stay at Blackpool where he is guaranteed game time.

"I didn't feel that right now I wanted to move to Tottenham or Everton," he said.

"It is flattering to have that interest in me but it is about playing for Blackpool and enjoying my football."

Ince also admitted that he turned down a move to newly promoted Cardiff City, deciding to stay put because of personal reasons.

"I went down to Cardiff to speak to Malky Mackay and what a guy he is," said Ince.

"They are a strong team, they got a fantastic result against Manchester City and it wasn't to do with any fears that Cardiff might struggle.

"I'm based in the North West, I've just had a little girl so I felt the timing wasn't right to move my family down there."

terling needs to be told though that upon entering the Arsenal squad he will re-enact the final scene from Highlander where he will be thrown around a warehouse by cartoon dragons and then be a mere mortal that will only ever spend three to four weeks a season playing football and the rest on the physio's bed. There can be only one.....player available at The Emirates.

he game changed in our favour when Carrick came on. We were able to play further up the pitch due to having a player who can give and go with the ball and keep possession. Yet barkley made some runs and Townsend scored a good goal but carrick's inclusion and chiellini's withdrawal made the biggest difference to the flow of the game

o, you've not silenced anyone Andros, i'm afraid. We know you can score a great goal, and it's really handy to have your direct running and willingness to shoot on the bench. But until you can do the other things expected of a winger (beat the man, put a decent cross in, stay wide etc) then you can't expect more than a regular cameo. Wonderful goal though, what a hit! No wonder Buffon wanted the shirt.
