Ings has been a revelation for the Clarets this season, helping to fill the void created by Charlie Austin's summer switch to Queens Park Rangers.

He has already found the target on 16 occasions for Burnley, while adding a further two goals to his tally for the England U21s.

His exploits are reported to be drawing admiring glances from the Premier League, with goalscorers always in high demand.

Dyche concedes that clubs may be looking at Ings and mulling over an approach, but he insists none have been received as yet and is not overly concerned heading into the January transfer window.

He said in the Burnley Express: "It's the reality of people doing well. If you look across the divisions, forwards get the main headlines, but there are players in different positions at many different clubs - it's just a natural progression of that, for a club like Burnley or a club like Leicester.

"They have players who are going well. I think the boy (Jeffrey) Schlupp was at Manchester United for a period.

"They've got people looking at their players as well. It's just a natural fact. I think it enhances it when you're doing well.

"There isn't any factual interest that I know. No-one has rung me, so that's factual, but there are a million stories."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
