The Potters have been quiet in the January transfer window so far, with Pulis yet to make any additions to his squad.

He hopes that situation will change before deadline day, with it important to strengthen when the opportunity arises.

"We are looking to bring one or two others in if we possibly can," Pulis told Sky Sports News HD.

"I think we need to freshen it up. We are certainly weak in one or two areas.

"We are trying but it has to be right for the football club, as always."

Pulis is also looking to retain the services of those already on his books, with speculation linking Kenwyne Jones with a switch to Swansea beginning to get on his nerves.

Pressed on whether there had been any movement on that front, Pulis said: "Watch us training and see if Kenwyne is there, and then take a view of it from there."
