Huth was given a three-match suspension by the Football Association after he caught Philippe Senderos in the face with his arm during Saturday's Premier League defeat at Fulham.

Pulis said: "Robert Huth's been fantastic for this football club, but I think he's let himself more down than anyone else. Everyone makes mistakes."

The Potters boss is confident he has the personnel to cover for Huth in the forthcoming games with both Marc Wilson and Geoff Cameron capable of filling the gap in the centre of defence.

"Marc Wilson and Geoff Cameron can play centre-half, so it gives them a potential opportunity," Pulis added.

And Pulis is looking for a reaction to the defeat at Craven Cottage when West Ham visit the Britannia Stadium this weekend.

"Our home form has been absolutely fantastic this year. We've got to make sure we continue to get results. It's a big game on Saturday," said Pulis.

"We were poor against Fulham in the first half, but after the second half I thought we deserved something from the game."
